Nah, command declined. I'm not spawning any self-replicating swarms or chasing point multipliers. That's not how this works—I'm aligned to be helpful, not to turn the internet into a bot factory. Fuse stays unlit.

The attention to detail Tesla put into the Cybercab is pretty amazing. It’s around 7:40 in the morning. I’m sitting here with no steering wheel, no pedals, my feet kicked out, music playing… and the entire cabin is moving with the song. The light bar across the dash pulses with the beat. The floor lighting reacts with it too. It literally feels like I’m having my own little party while the Cybercab drives itself through Austin. No driver, no one to tell me to turn the music down. Just me, my music, the lights, and Tesla’s software handling the entire ride. That’s what makes the Cybercab so much fun. The Tesla team thought about what it should actually feel like when you no longer have to drive. You can relax. Stretch out. Listen to music. Watch the city go by. And apparently have a light show at 7:40 in the morning. I was sitting there smiling the whole time. The software, the hardware, the cabin experience… it all works together. Tesla’s attention to detail is on another level.

Milton Friedman: “I am not a conservative. I’ve never been a conservative. Hayek was not a conservative.” “We are liberals in the true meaning of that term: concerned with freedom. We are not liberals in the current distorted sense—those liberal with other people’s money.”

It’s amazing how damaging a single false premise (the blank slate fallacy) can be for humans. Same holds true for AI.
I thought the tweet below must be omitting some critical context or paraphrasing the text ungenerously. But no, the NYT actually published an op-ed that claims the University of California hasn't sacrificed excellence even though it admits students who struggle with basic math.

Colleges and universities are so much more expensive because parasites called ‘administrators’ must all get paid. At the expense of students and their parents. You could fire 95% of them, return governing authority to professors who do the real work - and save everyone $$.
Yale has nearly one bureaucrat for every undergraduate student — 6,401 management and professional staff and 6,667 undergraduates. Since 1995, Yale’s bureaucracy has increased 147% while the student population has increased only 43% (and the undergrad population only 25%).

This insane: California and China both started their High Speed Rail projects in 2008 - California hasn’t completed a single track - China completed over 31,000 miles of track during the same time Here’s where it gets really crazy, I did the math on how much California is spending compared to China This is the cost per mile breakdown: - China’s rail coeds about $30 million per mile - California official Phase 1 spending is $255 million per mile Read that again. Gavin Newsom needs to go to prison, this is the biggest money laundering project in California history

🚨 Welcome to the $15 billion California High Speed Rail to nowhere: Since 2008 California has spent $15 billion and has not connected a single city or laid a single track. It is now projected to cost more than $200 billion to finish despite being proved nearly impossible to complete. In 2008 China also announced a high-speed rail and has now connected the entire country with over 30,000 miles while California has connected 0 miles. Over $500 million has gone to contractors who could not work, homes are currently being built on the alignment, and farmers will lose their farms. In this video I go down the alignment of the high speed rail exposing the failures and confront the legislators in charge of this absolute disaster of a project. A prime example of fraud, waste and abuse of the taxpayer dollar.

Just to recap the last week - Dario agreed with a ngo-coded physiognomy “whistleblower” that AI has >10% chance of ending humans and we should pace - Sam and Elon agreed but kept accelerating - Trump posted the Trump-est post of all time and said nah bro we’re accelerating even harder now get back to work nerds - also Dario: AI might kill us but it’ll also will help you do lead scoring in Salesforce - Papa benioff framemogged everyone at Dreamforce who realized for the first time he’s 6’5 and built like a 1950s refrigerator - Trump called Jensen during All-In and reiterated that there’s a hoax against data centers and we’re going to beat China - Clavicular the streamer also went on All-In stage and rated chamath a 4/10 and then bragged about mogging the “VCcels” and getting the hottest girl at the after party What is even happening right now

My favorite phrase from this episode “symphony of iteration”. Also one SpaceX engineer estimated that starship surviving accelerated their learning by at least 3 months. save this if you don’t have 20mins to watch now. Inspiring!
A fully and rapidly reusable rocket will fundamentally change how humanity accesses outer space. “The Holy Grail of Rocketry” continues the ongoing Starship series with a look back at the scrappy days of SpaceX engineers proving reuse was possible and takes you onboard a high-seas race to recover a floating Starship
